Liam O’Rourke, an Everton SA swimmer, LTS poolside helper and brother to Sean, has been chosen to represent Merseyside at The World Scout Jamboree in South Korea this summer.
Liam has to raise £5,000 for this trip of a lifetime! So far he has raised £4,500 so is on the final fundraising push for the remaining £500!
is running a raffle to win an OODIE. He will be at Knowsley Leisure Centre on Saturday 18th March selling raffle tickets for £2 a strip.
The Everton SA Committee has kindly donated £100 to Liam’s cause in appreciation of the work he and his family do for the club and to support this fantastic opportunity for one of our own!

Hello, my name is Liam O’Rourke.
I am one of the helpers for learn to swim and group 1, but I am also a part of the explorer scouts. Later this year in august I have been chosen to go to the world scout jamboree, an event of 50,000 people coming together to learn about each other and to help give the youth a voice. I’ll be representing Merseyside along with 36 others chosen through a process as there were a limited amount of spaces. I am seeking your help to get me to South Korea, to learn:
- New skills
- New cultures
- Making new friends
- And most of all I want to understand the process of traveling and working toward my goals
