Martha Sumnall has become Lancashire County Champion in the Backstroke 100M aged twelve, after three weeks of competition at Wavertree Aquatics Centre.
Congratulations to Martha who showed her class against stiff opposition from some established squads from all over the North West and the Isle of Man.
In a winning time of 1.17.29 and almost a second ahead of her nearest rival in the final, Everton Swimming Association is extremely proud of our new County Champion.
In addition to Martha, ESA was well represented by Isaac Chow, Grace Rooney, Matt Rooney, Jack Corden, Harrison Evans Connor O Boyle, James Dixon and Hayden Ladusans who all swam remarkably well.
Well done and thanks to the coaches who have worked with the swimmers over the years, their hard work has paid off.
