Dear Parents, Guardians,
Thank you for all your continued support with Everton SA. As Covid restrictions have recently changed, I’d just like to remind you of a few protocols that we’d like you to follow –
- If your child is feeling unwell, guidance from Swim England and Everton SA is that you don’t send your child swimming, particularly if it is a cough or cold.
- Where possible, please continue to test your child with a Lateral Flow Test, twice weekly if possible. Most schools are also recommending this as unfortunately cases within Secondary and Primary schools are increasing.
- Please report a positive test asap to your child’s lead coach.
Finally, if your child has a medical condition can you ensure that your coach is aware. Although this is on the annual members form it also helps if you speak to the coach directly so they are aware of any problems that your child may face during a training session and have protocol in place. You must also check before the session begins that your child is well enough to train – please ensure that they also have the necessary medical provisions that they may need e.g., asthma inhalers, epi-pens and sugary snacks/drinks for children with diabetes.
Our club policy is also that any parent of a swimmer aged 10 years and under must stay in the facility during the training sessions. This is to ensure that if any problems arise, you are at the facility to collect your child – we cannot leave children unattended in the facility if they are unable to train. If you need to leave for any reason, you must inform the coach prior to the session starting.
If you have any queries regarding any of the above, please contact me – [email protected]
Thank you,
Everton Welfare Officer
